Internet Network Marketing Business - Success Or Failure - It's Your Choice

Master Internet Attraction Marketing Methods Before You Join a Business

What I have to say today is somewhat controversial. But bear with me. This could be the difference between having a very successful internet marketing business and one that fails.

This message is primarily addressed to those who are considering joining a network marketing business and those who have been in a home based business before and are considering coming back.

My strong recommendation is that you learn how to market a business first before you actually join one. The purpose of this article is to explain why I feel that way.

What I just said is probably not a popular idea with you. It could be considered controversial.
Let's look at the reasons why you want to start your own home business. Most of our reasons fall under one general category. We want to move from a situation that is not working to one that has the potential of working.

In most situations, you probably want to make that move as soon as possible. I know. I have been there.

Here's How I Started In Network Marketing - It Didn't Work

As I approached my retirement age a few years ago, I realized I could not afford to retire. I knew it would take some time to transition from my Chief Financial Officer position into having a successful enterprise of my own.

But I was desperate to make the move and jumped right into my own network marketing opportunity. I failed miserably. The reason? I knew absolutely nothing about how to market my business. I thought I could learn as I built my business. I thought my company could teach me effective marketing methods. Neither one of these things happened.

I should have learned marketing methods that would work for me. I don't mean to just read about the methods. I mean to study them - to master them.
There are far more effective marketing methods today than when I started in this industry. There is a stark difference between marketing methods taught by MLM companies in the past and the attraction marketing methods available today.

Most MLMers Get Bad Advice From The Start

Many companies are starting to teach attraction marketing , but I have found that what they are teaching is just too general to be effective for most people.

What is needed is detailed, step by step internet attraction marketing training. Not only should the training include how to set up the marketing, but also how to optimize it to get massive results.

Massive results, even mediocre results, are not possible through general training. In fact, it is a recipe for disaster and the failure of your business.

When people are being recruited to join a business, they are told, "don't worry about marketing. We will teach you everything you need to know. You can learn as you go." That, my friend, is ludicrous!! That is why there is such a high failure rate in network marketing and home businesses.

Why do I say it is ludicrous? Once people join a business, they simply don't have enough time to master a better way of marketing.

Why Do Most People Fail in Network Marketing?

This is what generally happens. A person joins a business. They may not know how important marketing is to the success of their business.

There is a monetary investment to join their business. There are recurring monthly costs for websites, marketing tools, products/services on autoship, etc.

Already there is pressure to start making money as soon as possible to offset these costs. They feel obligated to start prospecting - to generate leads and talk with them. Prospecting takes time - much more time.

They may buy lists of leads and call them. Not only is this not a very effective way to build your business, but it adds more cost which adds more pressure to make money.

Meanwhile, the person gets involved in listening to company training calls, learning about the company, its products and services, etc. Of course, these things are critical in starting a business.

Here is the point I am making. Because of the time they are spending in their business, they do not have the time to master better marketing methods.

This is why so many people fail in network marketing. They simply do not have the knowledge they need to effectively market their business. And they don't have the time to learn better methods.

The Solution

Here is my advice:

1. Talk to a knowledgeable person who can give you objective information on attraction marketing.

2. Decide how you're going to market your business. It doesn't matter what your business is. You don't even have to be in one.

3. Find a training source that gives you detailed, step by step training in attraction marketing - a source that is very affordable.

4. Master those marketing methods. You will know when you are ready to get into a business.
Master attraction marketing methods and you can be very, very successful in a business.

If you fail to follow my advice, your business will likely be doomed to failure.

I have found the best network marketing training source that meets all these criteria - detailed, step by step training, training that helps you to optimize your attraction marketing methods to give you massive results, and training at a very affordable cost. Contact me if you would like further information.

Master attraction marketing methods before you join a business. It most likely will be the difference between success and failure.

A Legitimate Home Based Business Opportunity - What Should You Look For?

The demand for a legitimate home based business opportunity is growing rapidly.

In fact, over 50% of small business owners work from home. This industry is one of the very few in the United States that has expanded during the economic downturn.

The demand for a home business is understandable. With corporate lay-offs and job insecurity, working from home is very attractive. You have no boss and no commute. Your income potential is unlimited. You can work your own schedule and are not limited to a few weeks of vacation each year.

With this increase in demand, the number of home based businesses available is also growing. Unfortunately, this is resulting in more bogus businesses being offered. Finding a legitimate home business is becoming more difficult.

It's becoming more and more important to do your due diligence in evaluating a business. Here are a few factors to keep in mind:

1. Products/Services - Does the company offer quality products and services. Do they provide value to you and the company's customers and representatives?

2. Compensation plan - How quickly can you start making money? Is it possible to make a full time income? Do you understand the comp plan?

Are the company's income projections for a new rep realistic or not? Most company comp plans present estimated income levels based on a perfect scenario. Are you able to earn residual income?

What is your compensation per sale? In many companies, you must make a lot of sales in order to earn much income.

One of the major reasons for failure in network marketing is the time it takes to start earning sufficient money. This doesn't even take into account how long it takes to recover your initial investment of joining the company. Do you have enough cash set aside in order to go for several months without earning much income?

3. Marketing system - This is important. How difficult is it to set up the company's marketing system? How do you get leads to look at your business website? Is the marketing system compatible with your personality and level of experience?

In many companies, you must bring a lot of leads to your website before you start making much income. How do you get those leads? Does it require a fairly high level of marketing skill to generate these leads.

Or does the company suggest that you buy leads? Many companies do. This can be very expensive.

Marketing is the key to a successful business. Do you have enough cash set aside to cover monthly marketing expenses starting with the first month and subsequent months?

4. Training - Is detailed, step-by-step training readily available. Is your enroller/upline a leader?

Can your upline give you a marketing plan that makes sense to you? Does that person have experience in marketing and can help you be successful? Without the proper training and guidance, your business will probably fail.

These are a few of the major questions that need to be answered. The answers to these questions will help you determine if the company you are analyzing is a legitimate home based business opportunity.

But even if the company is a legitimate business opportunity, it may not be for you. Are you passionate about the products or services that the company offers? How easy is it to earn the amount of money you are looking for? Is your enroller a leader and someone who can guide you from the situation you are in to where you want to be?

A Lucrative, Legitimate Home Based Business Opportunity That is Easy - What Moms Are Looking For

Moms throughout this country are seeking ways to make money working from home. Many are extremely talented and are very capable of working in high-level positions in corporate America.

But there are many reasons why moms are looking for a lucrative, legitimate home based business opportunity that is also easy.

Why do I say that? First of all, take a look at the different categories of moms hoping to work at home:

1. Some moms are currently working in corporate America. They may have high level, challenging positions. Others do not. Many of these moms want to get out of the rat race and to at least replace their current income by owning their own home based business.

2. Some moms have young children in the house. They need a second income to help pay the bills or add to the family savings.

3. Some moms are working from home but have a job that is not interesting and doesn't pay well.

4. Other moms have seen their children graduate and move away from home. They are looking for significant income in a work from home business rather than returning to the work force.

Moms in these categories are probably looking for more income, possibly a lot more. They are looking for a business they can do at home that will be fun and interesting.

At the same time, moms need a business that will allow them to participate in other activities that involve children, family, home making, church, charities, and maybe a regular job. So what are they looking for in a business? Here are a few possibilities:

1. A business that does not require a significant amount of time.
2. A business that requires only basic phone and computer skills.
3. A business that provides step-by-step training.
4. A business that provides time flexibility and the advantage of not having to deal with a boss or a set schedule.
5. A business that allows them to take control of their finances.
6. A business that utilizes their talents, abilities, interests, and passions.
7. A business that is lucrative and provides a sense of accomplishment.
8. A business that allows them to participate in children's activities, church and charitable activities no matter what time of the day.

It's very important that moms select a business that is in line with their own interests. By doing this, the business can be fun as well as rewarding.

I said at the beginning of this article that a business should be easy as well as lucrative and legitimate. Of course, the business must be legitimate. It must also provide the opportunity to earn a significant amount of income. But for moms, I feel it is best if it is also easy.

I certainly don't make that statement in a negative way. I say that because it is difficult to be a mom and to also operate a home business. Some women have a regular job. Taking care of children, a husband, and a household is a full time job. Placing the responsibility of a business on top of those activities is not easy for a mom. I greatly admire women who take on that additional responsibility.

Even if a mom no longer has child responsibilities, church and charitable activities can be very time consuming in addition to being very rewarding.

So it makes perfect sense to me for a mom to try to find a lucrative, legitimate home based business opportunity that is also easy.

I have good news. There are a few businesses like that out there.

Why a Lucrative, Easy, Legitimate Home Business Opportunity Provides a Solution For Retirement

The baby boomer generation consists of 78 million people born between the years 1946-1964.

It wasn't too long ago that many boomers were considering early retirement. The economic recession has changed the outlook for some of them. Some are now hoping that a legitimate home business opportunity can provide them the income they need to help carry out their retirement plans.

The economic downturn was a real blow to many boomers. Several saw a significant decline in their savings as the stock market crashed in the latter half of 2008 and the first part of 2009. Although the market has seen a powerful rally since March of this year, many boomers were reluctant to participate.

The decline in home values has also had a negative impact. Boomers had wanted to use the equity in their homes to easily downsize to a smaller home at a much lower cost. In many cases, those plans have been altered.

So what are people to do if they are close to retirement but can't afford to retire.

Many are considering a home based business opportunity. But that's not very exciting for those who had their sights set on retirement. Many men and women have experienced successful careers. But some are completely burned out and want to leave corporate America.

You see many articles today saying that many people are delaying their retirement plans and deciding to work for a few more years. That doesn't mean that they are happy with that decision. There's nothing worse than to continue working in a job you don't like.

But a home based business can be a very exciting option - but not just any business. A business that is easy, in addition to being lucrative and legitimate, makes perfect sense.

1. Current retirees - They have worked hard during their careers. They probably want to stay busy and productive after retiring. But they don't want to spend their entire day working on a business. Retirement is not about spending your whole day working. It's about playing golf, participating in church and charity activities, reading, traveling, and so much more.

2. Still working but want to retire - These people need to supplement their retirement income. Most are probably willing to put in extra effort as they build their business. But they are probably not interested in spending a full day at work only to come home and spend the rest of their day working on a business.

That's why I feel that an easy business is the perfect fit for both these categories.

I can hear what you are saying now. An easy business is probably not going to throw off much income. And even it does, is it really legitimate?

I do agree that there are only a few businesses out there that have those characteristics. In fact, I can only think of one. But there are probably others available.

So the bottom line is to not give up if you find yourself in the position of wanting to retire but can't afford to. Find a legitimate home business opportunity that is easy and generates significant income. It will help you reach your retirement income goals as well as providing a fun, productive way to spend your retirement years.

Lucrative, Legitimate Home Businesses With a Perfect Internet Marketing Business Model - Only One

After spending almost twenty years as a Chief Financial Officer in corporate America, I have now worked in network marketing for almost nine years.

When I started in network marketing, I felt that I only needed to find one or two legitimate home businesses and I would be on my way to riches.

Unfortunately, the MLM businesses I joined taught its distributors the old traditional MLM methods of marketing. I struggled in a big way. Although I later started having success, I never enjoyed the recruiting process. I just didn't like chasing after people and calling long lists of cold leads for ten hours a day.

It was three years ago that I first discovered true internet marketing. These new marketing methods seemed perfect for me. Instead of chasing after people, I could now attract prospects to me.

I found some excellent internet marketing training. It took me almost a full year to get through it all. As I went through the training, I tried to implement what I had learned.

It was very apparent that using a company's replicator website was not the way to go. I needed set up my own website or blog - my own internet marketing system. In order to be a successful internet marketer, I needed to generate my own leads.

What follows is a long list of some of the things I did to set up my internet marketing system. It was difficult and very time consuming. At the end of this article, I point out an internet marketing business model that greatly reduces the time and difficulty in achieving success.

1. I first tried pay per click marketing. There was so much to learn - keywords, ad copy, split testing, and so much more. Although I did get a lot of leads, it was so expensive.

When my sales slowed down, my expenses continued to rise. I later shut down my PPC accounts. It was just too expensive for me. Many people are extremely successful using PPC. But you must know what you are doing or you will lose your shirt.

2. I started working on setting up a blog. I prepared educational information for my blog that would be valuable to the reader. Good copywriting was the key. In fact, I took at least two copywriting courses to help me.

3. I learned how to set up a capture page and put one on my blog. It was not as easy as my internet marketing training said it would be. The purpose of my capture page was to convert the reader into a prospect. The words on my capture page had to entice my reader to fill out his name and email address and "opt in."

4. I wrote a report that I could offer my readers for free. To get the report, they had to opt into my blog. To be able to write the report, I spent hours studying the topic so I could provide prospects information that was of value to them.

5. I then prepared at least 30 auto responder email messages to send to my prospects after they opted in. You can imagine how much time that took me. Again, good copywriting was important.

After hours and hours of internet marketing training, research, and copywriting, my blog was at least presentable. But guess what? No one came to my blog. They didn't know it even existed. So I had to come up with ways to generate leads - ways to get traffic coming to my blog.

6. I wrote articles - tons of articles. I had to learn search engine optimization so I could properly use keywords, linking strategies, and more. Again, copywriting was important.

Good content was critical. My writing had to be interesting and valuable to the reader. Otherwise they would never read it and never get to my blog. I attended a multi-week "writing with pull" course.

I learned how to set up and use Ezine Articles, Hubpages, Squidoo, and other article directories. I learned and used bookmarking. I had 30 pieces of content on the internet and the number was slowly rising every week. Unfortunately, I wasn't getting much traffic.

7. I did videos - over 20 of them. I am not a video person. They weren't very good. But everyone told me I should use videos in my marketing if I wanted to be successful. So I did videos. Then I had to learn how to edit the videos. I had to learn how to put titles on them and how to cut out those parts I didn't want seen. I then learned how to transfer them to YouTube.

8. When I did receive a lead, I called them. My approach was to not come on too strong and to not immediately start promoting my business.

Some people had much success talking on the phone with their prospects. Others did not. I was one that did not. So I took a couple of courses on proper telephone recruiting and relationship marketing.

Here is the bottom line. I was trying to do everything myself. I was trying to be the jack of all trades. Because of that, it took me hundreds of hours of training and work to set up my system. Even then, I still wasn't very successful.

One of my real weaknesses is the ability to deal with the technical aspects of this business. I spent hours trying to set up my blog in the right way and to set up my free report on the blog so that my prospect received it immediately upon opting in.

After all this work, you would think that I would be flooded with leads. After a couple of years, my lead generation did improve. But it took me working from early in the morning to late at night almost six days a week to reach that point.

The pressure to succeed in my internet marketing business was all on me. I had to know everything. I had to do everything.

When I wasn't getting leads, I had to determine why and fix it. When I was still not getting leads, I had to go through the entire process again. When my capture page wasn't converting, I had to determine why and fix it.

In fact, I had to drop out of one good business opportunity because I wasn't generating enough leads. Oh, I could have bought leads, but that was very expensive and not very effective.

I do have some good news. I have found a way to be very successful in the network marketing industry. Here's the important thing - you don't have to know all areas of marketing and know how to generate your own leads to be successful in this business. And I do mean very successful.

This is one of the few legitimate homes businesses that uses a team approach to its marketing.

What if you found a business where you don't have to know all areas of marketing in order to be successful? What if there was no pressure to know everything? What if you didn't need to create your own website or blog or articles or videos? What if there was no need to generate your own leads?

What if you could select only one area of marketing to work in? What if that area was one you had an interest in? What if you didn't need experience in that area of marketing and could rely on other team members to train you?

What if each member of the business worked together as a team? What if all members worked in the one area that they had an interest in?

Fortunately, this is the internet marketing business model I have found. The team concept that "no one gets left behind" results in one of the most lucrative and legitimate home businesses available today.

Dennis Hampton's Personal Blog: Legitimate Home Business Opportunities Can Be Fun and Lucrative - Well, Maybe Just a Few

Dennis Hampton's Personal Blog: Legitimate Home Business Opportunities Can Be Fun and Lucrative - Well, Maybe Just a Few

Legitimate Home Business Opportunities Can Be Fun and Lucrative - Well, Maybe Just a Few

With the advent of internet attraction marketing, network marketing has changed for the better. Attraction marketing is a much more professional way to market what legitimate home business opportunities have to offer. But internet marketing comes with a heavy price. I'm not necessarily talking about dollars and cents. I'm talking about the time and difficulty in learning and implementing internet marketing.

If you are promoting home business opportunities, you should not rely on a company's replicator website. You must also generate your own leads. The first thing you must do is set up a niche or target market. You must determine what group of people you are talking to. This must be a narrowly defined market. It should be small enough that there is not a lot of competition. But it should also be large enough that it has good income potential.

After determining what market you will address, you must become very familiar with the people in that market. This takes hours of research. You must determine their needs and their unanswered questions. Your entire marketing campaign must be designed to address these issues.

What does your marketing campaign consist of?

You must first establish a focal point for your campaign - either a blog or website. Search engines like blogs since they are constantly being updated. The blog must provide education information to the reader. A blog is a great way to generate your own leads and build your list of prospects. To do this, you must put a capture page on your blog. The capture page must be worded in a way that encourages your reader to enter their name and email address. In other words, they must opt in.

In order to encourage your reader to opt into your site, you must generally offer something for free. This can be in the form of an eBook, a free report, a book, or something else that is of value. It's preferable that you write your own piece of content that you give away. After your prospects opt in, you must continue to communicate with them. To do this, you must write a series of emails or auto-responder messages that you send to them over a period of time. These messages should provide educational information as well as include offers related to your legitimate home business opportunities, your products, and services.

The only way for your marketing system to work is to drive prospects to your blog. This can be done in various ways through the use of video and article marketing, comments on other blogs and forums, the use of Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace, and many other methods. It's preferable to contact your prospects by phone. It's not easy to build a relationship with your prospect and use a consultative approach to marketing. This must be learned through good training.

I said earlier that achieving success using internet marketing comes at a heavy price. It takes many, many hours of training and work to set up your marketing system and get it working effectively. The failure rate of an internet marketer is still high. First, it takes much time to set up these various areas of marketing. Just setting them up does not ensure success. You must be a good copywriter. You must use good search engine optimization and properly use keywords, backlinks, etc.

Everything is up to you. If your marketing system is set up but not generating leads or not making any sales, you must determine what is wrong with your system. If you can't afford to hire an expensive coach to help you, you must figure out what's wrong with your system and make changes. It's not easy. I've seen internet marketers work for months, even years, on their marketing system and still only make enough money to barely cover their monthly electric bill. I don't know about you. That's not good enough for me.

I have a recommendation to make. There is a way to be hugely successful in internet marketing without having to learn and set up each area of your marketing campaign. You don't need to be responsible for generating your own leads and sales. There is a business that uses a "team" approach to marketing. All members work as a team. The team works together to make sure that everyone is successful.

This doesn't mean that you can sit back, do nothing, and rake in the money. You must participate as a part of the team. You must help out in one area of the team marketing system. But it can be an area that you have an interest in. If you don't have experience in that area, you can learn from other team members. You are probably wondering. Is this a legitimate business? If it is as good as it sounds, does it really have high income potential? The answer is that it is one of the most lucrative, fun, legitimate home business opportunities available today.
